Foreign trainee in Belgium
A foreign trainee may obtain a residence permit in Belgium if they come to Belgium for a maximum period of six months within the framework of or within two years following the end of their graduation in college, in order to acquire practical knowledge and professional experience in their field of study.
While Belgian law does not provide for minimum remuneration or for the host entity to act as a guarantor for the trainee, the latter must still prove that he or she will have sufficient means of subsistence.
If you are a foreigner and wish to obtain a residence permit in Belgium as part of a study, research, internship or voluntary service, carefully prepare your file and ask for advice from specialized lawyers in Belgium.
Altea can provide you with the services of a lawyer who is an expert in your situation.
